We were recently invited to
Peppa Pig World with Save the Children to take part in their
Muddy Puddle Walk. 16,000 children were involved in the event in the UK last year and £243,000 was raised for Save the Children, towards their vital work helping children around the world transform their lives. This year, there is expected to be an even bigger involvement in the UK’s muddiest fundraising event, which will run between 23rd and 29th April 2018. Families, nurseries and early year groups are all encouraged to join in with the fun. You can be entirely creative which the event and choose something that suits you! We live by the sea so
splashing in the waves would be perfect for us. Likewise, splashing in muddy puddles, paddling pools or rivers could suit you. To raise money simply get sponsors, ask for donations or sell something on the day, such as Peppa Pig inspired cupcakes! For a free Muddy Puddle Walk Fundraising Pack sign up at
www.MuddyPuddleWalk.org The pack includes activity ideas, tips for finding puddles and ways to fundraise! The website also includes details on how your vital fundraising will help children around the world with Save the Children.

Peppa's Big Balloon Ride |
Our day at Peppa Pig World began with our own muddy puddle event with the Save the Children team, who I should mention were so lovely and hospitable! This was our first trip to Peppa Pig World and Pip was so excited as were the adults. In fact, apart from
Drusillas Park this was our first trip to a theme park! We met the Save the Children team in the morning and went to meet the ‘real’ Peppa Pig and George Pig! The team explained the importance of the Muddy Puddle Walk fundraising event and how the money raised will go towards transforming the lives of vulnerable children around the world including in the UK. It was then time for our own muddy puddle walk. With other bloggers, we walked through the beautiful Peppa Pig gardens and eventually found some wonderful muddy puddles. Coming prepared with wellies, Pip was in his element. He splashed, danced and sang in the puddles until he was soaked! It was a beautiful sunny day and it was lovely to watch him having so much fun! What child doesn’t like splashing in muddy puddles? It’s the perfect fundraising event for little ones!

Miss Rabbit's Helicopter Flight at Peppa Pig World |
After a filling lunch we spent the afternoon exploring the rest of Peppa Pig World at
Paultons Park. And there was more than enough to keep us entertained until closing time. The park is wonderful with most rides allowing enough space for at least 2 adults and 2 children. Pip will be five next month and I wasn’t sure how he’d feel on the rides having only been on small rides such as those at
Brighton Pier. The rides at Peppa Pig are designed for small children so they are all suitable for that age group as well as appealing to adults too! We visited in the Easter holidays so the park was pretty busy. There were long queues in the middle of the day (reaching over 30 minutes) but during those times we decided to venture on some of the smaller rides and watch the penguins being fed. In about 5 hours we managed to go on about 6 or 7 of the popular rides and walked around the park several times. We also ventured over to Paultons Park for the dinosaur themed rides – also suitable for young children. We had a wonderful family day out and I’d certainly recommend Peppa Pig World to younger children and Paultons Park to older kids.
