Making a 3D Christmas tree

Vision Direct recently sent us a craft box full of Christmas goodies and accessories to make our own 3D Christmas tree. Pip started school this term and we've been super busy. We haven't had much time to make things at home like we used to so it was nice to sit down one afternoon and get crafty! Here's our step-by-step process in photos.

Our Vision Direct box full of decorations and Christmas goodies including a postcard with a tree-shaped template.

All you need is a tree template and some crafty bits for decorating! I helped Pip to cut out the template along the lines. Any tree template can be used, big or small and it's a great way to recycle leftover card from packaging (cereal boxes are ideal)!

Colouring in before decorating the tree!

Using a variety of Christmas themed crafts to decorate the tree.

We joined our two halves of the tree together and created a tree that stands well on any surface!

Pip was very pleased with his first DIY 3D Christmas tree!

Have you made any Christmas crafts this year? I'd love to hear about them! ☺
