Brighton Pier Photography Walk

Last week I attended a photography walk with fellow Brighton bloggers including Chelle and Kate. Our aim was to walk along the coast taking photographs! In the end, we just walked around the pier but it was a great opportunity to catch up with bloggers, meet some new people, take a lot of photographs and enjoy the sunshine! I took my Nikon DSLR camera out this time and came back with a whole load of snaps. I don't usually edit my photographs heavily as I prefer them to look as natural as possible even if the weather is gloomy. But this time, I decided to up the saturation and bring out the colour in the photos (inspired by Florence and the Machine who I was listening to at the time of editing)! I do like the end result especially the ones of the Merry-go-round and views out to the West Pier and i360. Here they are:

  2. Lots of great photos showcasing the pier in such a beautiful way - I love the carousel ones. The eighth picture, with the view of the West Pier is just lovely, although I do think the new cable car attraction ruins the view a little... The wheel was much more subtle!

  3. Brighton is our favourite place so these pictures made me happy - they are gorgeous! Although agree with the above comment that the wheel was much prettier than the 360 thingy :)

  4. We love Brighton and the Pier is the number 1 destination on my kids list not least because they are hooked (as I am) on the penny falls machines AKA coin cascade. They also love the fairground and like looking for horses with their friends names on the carousel. Viva Brighton! #citytripping

We are going to London for 10 nights next month and have a day trip to Brighton planned, I can't wait! :) #citytripping

  6. So many gorgeous pictures, the sun even made an appearance in at least one, that's gotta be a good omen! This brings back some good memories of visiting Brighton in 2008 when I just arrived in London for a couple of years. It's such a great place #citytripping

  8. Really like how you've made the colours pop. Mine favourite (and maybe slightly influenced by my daughter) is the carousel. A great collection of photos to show off Brighton...I'm looking forward to visiting this summer! Thanks for linking #citytripping

  9. Hi, sorry I wasn't able to make the walk. Your pics are bold, the bright colours work well on the carousel shots.

  11. I've never been on a photography walk but I have heard of them before (albeit only last week!). I love all of these photos and Brighton looks really beautiful, very different to the Brighton in Melbourne though.
