Since doing a mindfulness course at the start of this year I also like that these classes have a meditative focus and the atmosphere sounds incredibly relaxing. Unity's retreat in Turkey is held at the Faralya Hotel near Olu Deniz in Southwest Turkey. The hotel is amongst a peaceful hamlet with stunning coastal views. There is fresh water swimming pool in the hotel and plenty of opportunity to explore the nearby mountains and beautiful beaches. The programme includes 1-2 hours of yoga each day and optional holistic treatments throughout the week. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all included in the price and these are all nutritious and vegetarian. A boat trip takes place on Friday sailing on the Aegean Coast, with a choice of swimming, snorkelling, rope swinging or just relaxing on the boat. Sevanti says, "The emphasis of the retreat is to relax and have plenty of happiness and laughter too! We enjoy a deep, sacred practice each day, plus workshops and night meditations under the stars. Treatments contribute to the deep relaxation and guests are welcome to join together or enjoy quiet time alone as needed. The food and staff are wonderful and the energy of the mountains is magical!" Doesn't it sound ideal!

The price for adults is £545 with children under six completely free (excluding flights). The kids club costs £140 per child or £230 for 2 children (per family). I've had a look at other yoga retreats and think these are very affordable considering it includes the main yoga sessions, accommodation and full board. If you want to find out more about Unity's retreats have a look at their website. I was so excited upon hearing about this and discovering more details but, unfortunately it clashes with another trip I have planned in August. However, I would love to experience a yoga retreat with my little boy in the future!

Have you been on a yoga retreat? I'd love to hear about your experiences.
Please note: This is not sponsored content, I'm writing about the retreats as I love the sound of them :-)
This place sounds awesome, I've always wanted to go to a yoga retreat. I don't have children, but it's great the fact they are able to cater for families also. x
ReplyDeleteHi Jessica, I'm glad you like the sound of it! I work at Unity and we have a few places available. If you would like to receive a prospectus please contact me (Rosie) at unityschool130@gmail.com. Warmest wishes, Rosie.
DeleteI think we were the only ones not on a yoga retreat at our last stay at the Ignana Lodge in Osa, Costa Rica.
ReplyDeleteWow this sounds like a really fab idea! I've always wanted to go on a yoga retreat but always thought it would have to be just me - this kind would be fab as I could bring the whole family! Alas, we've already spent our travel budget for this year, but maybe in the future :) #myfavouritetrip
ReplyDeleteThat looks fabulous!! How lovely
ReplyDeleteThis sounds great! I would never hav put yoga retreat and kids together either. It's a great option. I recently discovered that children's yoga is quite big where I live so clearly something to get them into too. How many nights are the retreats usually? Thanks for hosting #myfavouritetrip
ReplyDeleteI have had wonderful experiences taking yoga and mindfulness retreats both at home and abroad, but I've never done so with children (as I'm not a parent). I'd venture a guess that it would be incredibly fulfilling to both parent and child especially if there are activities that take place both as a family and separately. My friend is a children's yoga instructor and the practice has proven to be helpful in increasing concentration, decreasing stress and increasing overall wellness. Are you planning on going?
ReplyDeleteThis sounds idyllic! I've not done yoga for a long time, before I had children, but I used to find it a great way to relax. This looks amazing. Sarah
ReplyDeleteOh Wow! This sound like a perfect holiday for my little monkeys! lol! Ethan tried Yoga twice when he was 3 years old and he loved it! I just can't believe what I was seeing - that same monkey boy can do Yoga?! Unfortunately, the yoga teacher decided not to run the classes anymore as no one seem to be sighing up for the lessons. Anyhow, I never been to Turkey before so this will be pin on my Travel Bucket list for sure! Thank you for sharing and hosting too! :) x
ReplyDeleteI've never been on a yoga retreat, I'm so not very healthy! But this looks really good for you, and great that the kids can get involved too. Plus you get to see another country - win win! x

This sounds so relaxing. If holiday childcare is available I'm not afraid to use it! After all, holidays should be about everyone getting a break and enjoying the quality time they have together #myfavouritetrip
ReplyDeleteOh I so would love to experience a Yoga Retreat with our boys - it would be so much fun :) Love the pictures, it sure looks so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like pretty much the perfect holiday! It made me feel quite chilled just reading about it and imagining myself there! #myfavouritetrip
ReplyDeleteHi all, this is Sevanti here, I run these Yoga Retreats and am very happy to give anyone further info if you'd like any.
ReplyDeleteThanks for such a lovely write up, I wish you could come!
Single people, couples and families are all welcome. We have quiet times so that those without children have their peace around the pool and it is so lovely to also see everyone relaxing around the beautiful grounds together too.
It is one of the most magical places, I feel so fortunate to have spent 18 years there! I run shorter retreats too, some in the Uk and all levels/beginners are all warmly welcomed.
I so wanted to go on something like this Myself a few years ago, where each person in the family is really taken care of and gets what they need-so I thought i'd create it!
Feel free to get in touch if you'd like more info.
I wish everyone happy sunny days ahead
Sevanti X
