My Favourite Trip #21

Welcome to #MyFavouriteTrip week 21! Apologies for not posting last week. I've been having ongoing problems with my computer so had to take it in for repair and was without it for a week, not so great when you're working as a freelancer. I'll have to take it in again for a second time next week but hopefully it will be fixed soon! Modern technology hey! Thanks to everyone who linked up last time. It's always a pleasure to read so many diverse posts. As I missed a week I'll be featuring two posts today and I'll be announcing the monthly winner tomorrow.

The first featured post is...

Global Locavore: The Sweetness of Sharing in Split, Croatia

This post is about a typical market scene in Split, Croatia. If you haven't read this already please do because it sums up the essence of travel and communication perfectly. It's such a simple yet memorable story and I love Lauren's beautiful writing style.

Mia Tui Travel/Changing Bag Review

For the past few months I've been reviewing the stylish Mia Tui Changing/Travel Bag. The bag I chose was the Emma Baby bag in tan. The bag comes under both the changing and travel sections on the Mia Tui website, but the changing bag comes with additional accessories, and this is the one I have been reviewing. The bag has been wonderful and I wish I had purchased this when my little one was first born. It’s been very handy as a changing bag and although my son has grown out of nappies I will continue using the bag for travel and days out.

Have you been on one?

Child Friendly Yoga Retreats

© Sevanti
Unity are a yoga company based in Brighton. I've been to their yoga & mindfulness classes in their beautiful relaxing studio on Lewes Road and recently discovered their child friendly yoga retreats. Each retreat is open to anyone from single people and couples, to groups and families. A kids club with an experienced childminder is provided for the children when the adults are practicing yoga. Unity's next retreat is to Turkey between 22nd-29th August 2016 and includes a week of yoga, massage and mindfulness. With full board vegetarian meals and a stunning location in the Turkish hilltops overlooking the Mediterranean, it sounds and looks absolutely amazing! Anyone who has a passion for yoga and travelling would love this retreat and the kids club is obviously a bonus for those with children. I've never been on a yoga retreat and didn't know one with a kids club even existed until recently!

10 Reasons To Visit Vondelpark In Amsterdam

Vondelpark is the largest park in the city of Amsterdam, with ten million visitors each year! On our recent trip to Amsterdam we visited the park for the first time. I had been to Amsterdam previously but had never had time to explore this area. This time, our hotel was just a few streets away so the park was in a perfect location for us! Equivalent to Hyde Park or Regent's Park in London and New York's Central Park, this is one of Amsterdam's highlights. I took my little one (then two years old) to explore the park and all it had to offer and on our four day trip we ended up visiting the park three times. We absolutely loved it and I wanted to share ten reasons for visiting Vondelpark!

My Favourite Trip #18

Welcome to week 18 of #MyFavouriteTrip! Many thanks to everyone that joined in last week. There's always a diverse selection of travel posts and it's lovely to read every single one. We've had a busy week here. I took my little boy camping for the first time and he loved it. We were very lucky with the weather and a blog post will be coming soon. My baby also turned three on Tuesday! Doesn't time fly! I haven't had time to write a travel post this week so I'm linking up with one of my favourite photos from London
