Mrs Robinson's Store: Review & Necklace Giveaway

Mrs Robinson's Store is an independent boutique based in Worthing, West Sussex. I've written about the store previously as they were one of my sponsors for BritMums Live back in June. I recently visited the boutique with my little boy and met the lovely shop owner, Sally Robinson, in person. It was great to browse through the extensive selection of items in the shop and have a chat with Sally.

The store won the Best Retailer 2014 Adur & Worthing Business Awards, was a finalist for Best Newcomer at the Greats Gift Awards and was shortlisted for the Johnston Press South Business Awards. When you visit the shop you can see why! Located near the seafront in Worthing's shopping district, Mrs Robinson's Store offers a wide selection of products including jewellery, cards, prints, mugs, brooches, bags, stationary, cushions, scarfs, games, home accessories, a body and home fragrance range and children's merchandise. Many of the shops items are animal themed including those from the local Sussex countryside. Sally works with a number of illustrators and designers to bring a unique mix of products whilst maintaining that they stay affordable. With so many beautiful items in the store it was difficult choosing something to review. I was drawn to the beautiful selection of cards, the fragrant range of candles, the smaller decorative items for the home and my little boy was instantly attracted to the dog doorstops! In the end I chose the following: 

Heart Necklace by Estella Bartlett 

When I saw the gorgeous jewellery range in Mrs Robinson's Store I was instantly drawn to the Estella Bartlett collection which happens to be one of best sellers. I've always been attracted to dainty, delicate jewellery and this particular design caught my eye because it's so tiny and intricately designed. I used to wear silver necklaces a lot but haven't done in a while so thought I'd choose this as a little treat to myself. I've been wearing this beautiful heart-shaped silver plated pendent a lot, especially for evenings out and am really happy with it. 

Gruffalo Money Box

When my little boy was born we were given a china money box but being just two years old I'm still scared of him breaking it! Toddler was drawn to this Gruffalo money box as soon as we entered the shop, don't all kids love Gruffalo! This money box contains illustrations of Gruffalo, the mouse, owl, snake and fox. Made from tin, it is durable even when thrown across the room (it's been tested!) and I am surprised by how much toddler loves this. He can easily sit for 20 minutes or so putting coins into the box, listening to them drop, opening the lid, pouring the money out and starting the process again. The tin suits small hands well and toddler can easily push the lid on and pull it off to tip the money out. The slot for the coins is also perfectly designed as it's fairly wide for little chubby fingers. This cute little money box is only a few pounds and it would make a great little gift for a special little person :)
